We aim to provide the best and most personal service to all our customers whether they are shopping in our retail stores or our biggest wholesale clients. Cavan
Cavan is the proud owner of the Cottage Bakehouse. He grew up in Otago and his local knowledge has helped him to shape a local bakery. He is passionate about local businesses supporting the local community and seeing that money spent locally stays local.
John
Some may claim that John witnessed the first ever loaf of bread but we just know that he has a long history and in depth knowledge to create our wonderful bread range. He works tirelesly, long into the night to create the perfect loaves and rolls and all he asks in return is a bacon buttie and a coffee!
Marianne
Marianne oversees all of our retail stores and creates all of our lovely catering. We are assured that she has not perfected cloning but you would be forgiven for thinking that there were 6 of her running between our stores. A tireless worker who is the glue that holds our retail stores together.
Grace
Grace can usually be found in our Mosgiel bakery keeping her pie warmer full and cabinets ready for the influx of loyal customers she serves everyday. Always ready for a chat we can't guarantee that your lunch hour will suffice for a trip to the bakery but you will be sure to be entertained!
Mike
Mike began his baking career in Frew's Bakery in Mosgiel which served as the local baking institution at the time. He holds the reins of our bakery and has a lot of his days made up of making and perfecting our quality pie range. He looks forward to the day that a duck pie takes off and he can get paid to go shooting!
